Ivo Kara-Pesic, the coordinator of the film festival in Ston will participate as a guest at the 4th edition of the Food Film Festival taking place in Amsterdam from May 9 to May 11. The Festival was started in 2010 by the members of the Slow Food Youth Movement. Two of the founders, Helen Kranstauber and Janno Lanjouw, were guests at the last year Kinookus FFF. It was then that the idea of starting the first food film festival network was discussed. In addition to the Ston and Amsterdam festivals the network will be launched by the Belgian Krachtvoer (Antwerpen), English Food for Real (Liverpool) and Spanish Film & Cook (Madrid and Barcelona).
On Saturday May 10 as a part of the Food Film Talks representatives of the five festivals will sign the joint manifesto and present their festivals as well as the objectives of the network.
The rich program of this year Amsterdam Food Film Festival in addition to screening, food tasting and workshops, expects the participation of some of the most eminent names of the food system revolution such as the farmer Joel Salatin and the chef Jamie Oliver.
