ORGANIC FUNKY FOOD & FILM FESTIVAL

From Friday 11 till Monday 14 September on the Petrica Kerempuh Square on Opatovina a festival delicacy is taking place for all the people of goodwill who pay adequate attention to the quality of food on their plates: the first Organic Funky Food & Film Festival (OFFF Festival). Apart from organic fruit and vegetables and many other healthy products (it is September after all!) the visitors are going to enjoy in first-rate films depicting the topic of food and cooking (there are the Oscar winning films too), lectures and workshops on the theme of healthy diet (from green juices, veganism and macrobiotics to organic chocolate and raw food unbaked cakes) as well as brilliant live music in funky and jazzy mode representing a music background for socializing and discussing healthy ways of life and eating habits – with a glass of organic smoothie.
The Festival was created as a result of cooperation with already legendary Mali plac – a place of encounters, socializing, tasting, informing and exchanging of healthy food, kindness and creativity, Kinookus – the oldest active food film festival in Europe that believes that enjoying in food and watching films is the nicest excuse to meet new people and Potepuh – a cult Zagreb bar that this summer on its terrace has hosted over 100 days of various festival programme.
OFFF Festival is an unintentional alternative to similar events where you will, while enjoying a film, be nibbling cabbage crisps instead of popcorn, and sipping organic smoothies instead of fizzy drinks. Of course there will be an abundance of other organic food, from the vegetarian catering to pasta, sauces, and cheese grated directly into your plate by the small-scale producers of organic food.
